Turns

We have been learning about turns. This is the beginning of measuring angles and knowing what an angle is. We made angles with a paint brush.and a string and with a cardboard comb and paint. We learnt to turn ourselves through 1/2 and 1/4 turns. All  the turns we made went home in our  turns book. We have some homework to do at home with our families in our books. These photos show some turns[angles]

Area

We have been talking about area this week as part of our learning about measurement. We found out whose hand would make the biggest mess on the new tablecloth and whose footprint takes up the most space. We are making a cover for a big book and a small book.

Food Jesus might have eaten.

We had a shared meal of food Jesus might have eaten. We loved the Pita bread, the olives, the honey, the dried fruit, the nuts and the water.  We dressed as Jesus would have dressed when he was a boy. We enjoy finding out about the things Jesus would have done when he was a boy and the things he liked to do.
